Lata Rajinikanth and Soundarya Rajinikanth were issued arrest Warrant by the Chennai magistrate court in Saidapet on Wednesday.
The warrant was later recalled after the financial dispute was settled out of court between the concern people. It was reported that Lata and Soundarya, wife & daughter of Rajinikanth had loaned an amount of Rs. 20 Lakhs from a Chennai based entrepreneur Sumerchand Bafana for some business deals in August 2009.
Sumerchand Bafana, had then issued a complaint with the XXIII Metropolitan Magistrate, Saidapet, stating that they issued two cheques towards the repayment of the money, which bounced.
Magistrate, K Ravi, while taking the complaint on January 6, issued summons to Latha and Soundarya to appear before the court on February 9. But since the two failed to appear n the day the case came to hearing, the magistrate ordered that a bailable warrant be issued against them.
Later, when they made the settlement out of court, the entrepreneur filed a petition seeking permission to withdraw the complaint. Later making the necessary verifications, the magistrate, dismissed the complaint.
