Gautham Menon is promoting his Nadunisi Naaygal with great force. The release is just a week away and Gautham has reportedly invited ace director Bharathi Raja, who previously directed the cult hit Sigappu Rojakkal with Kamal Haasan and Sri Devi who played pivotal roles in the movie at AVM Studios. It was really great to see directors from different generations share such mutual respect and admiration for each other.
Gautham has gone one step ahead and started a new trend where he will soon be seen as a television host having a chat with Silambarasan and Sameera Reddy the new glamour girl in K town. The show will be aired on television soon. Here is an excerpt from a recent interview with the bombshell Sameera.
So Sameera this is your second one with Gautham Menon after Vaaranam Aayiram.
Thanks to Gautham for giving me a hit film in Vaaranam Ayiram. You know fans still can’t let go the name Meghna of their minds. Candidly speaking I am a calm and down to earth character in real life too.
Nadunisi Nayagal had lots of shots in the night, isn’t it?
Yes it did and the shooting wasn’t that easy, as it mostly took place in the nights.
The shoots would start at 7pm and go on till 4 pm.
Could you tell kollytalkers a little about your role in the movie?
You know it’s a thriller movie where I will be playing a normal college-going girl who’s always hanging out with her boyfriend. Things take a twist one particular night when she meets this psycho Veera only to experience the worst. It’s an experimental role; I have full faith in Gautham. It is bound to come out well.
You earlier told us about the scene where sniffer dogs were at you. Any incidents that you remember?
Oh yes, this is an incident that happened .In one of the scenes psycho Veera was trying to chop my hair with a knife. I threatened him “Look I love my hair and if something happens to it, I will kill you”
You seem to have really enjoyed working with Veera.
“Gautham had confidence in Veera and I had confidence in Gautham. Veera is a born actor and worked hard to reach where he is.
In Tamil you already have a movie with Prabhu Deva opposite Vishal and not to forget Lingusamy’s Vettai with Arya and Madhavan in the lead. You have been trying different looks in your movies, would you say it is a conscious choice in a way?
If you look at successful yesteryear actors, you’ll see that everyone has tried different looks, make-up and costumes. In this new age, it’s good to constantly experiment with things.Thank you
