Only recently he played a thief called Kaatupoochi in ‘Siruthai’, in the company of Karthi Sivakumar. Now Santhanam is playing a similar role in ‘Velayudham’, which has Vijay as protagonist.
“But this one is totally different to the one I did in Siruthai. Because I want to provide variety entertainment to the audience and carefully avoid doing same kind of characters,” the comedian says.
Besides ‘Velayudham’, Santhanam is currently acting in a long list of films, including Vikram’s ‘Dheiva Thirumagan’, Jiiva’s ‘Vandhan Vendran’, STR’s ‘Vaanam’ and Bharath’s ‘Yuvan Yuvathi’.
And the important among them is Udhayanidhi Stalin’s maiden heroic venture ‘Oru Kal Oru Kannadi’, in which Santhanam joins hands with his lucky mascot director Rajesh for the third time. “I am playing a youngster from an orthodox family in the film,” he says.
