Ramya or Divya Spandana of ‘Pollathavan’ and ‘Varanam Aayiram’ fame is the latest to join the political bandwagon. Tweeting has become the fad of the day among cine stars, as they believe the news reaches in no time to their fans, and also receive instant feedback. Through this social-networking site, Divya announced to her fans that she will be officially joining the Youth Congress on Monday. It is from her twitter blog that even the media picked up the news.
She tweeted saying, “I believe in the power of the youth and we can definitely change the system’. I am not getting in to active politics right now. I support Rahul Gandhi and I’m even more confident after I met him. He represents youth.” Looks like the only youth icon according to Ramya in politics is Rahul Gandhi.
The actress is doing a film, ‘Kadhal 2 Kalyanam’ with Arya’s brother Sathya where Sathya plays a RJ. Whether Ramya will contest the elections two years from now, only time will tell the tale…
