Director Bala’s latest offing ‘Avan Ivan’ with Arya and Vishal playing local boys came out with its music yesterday. The music launch of ‘Avan Ivan’ was held at a hotel in Chennai. The entire team of ‘Avan Ivan’ was in attendance. The hero of the day, of course, was Yuvan Shankar Raja who happens to be the music director of this film.
The music disc was launched by director Balu Mahendra, Bala’s mentor, and the entire team of the film was present on stage to receive the first copy. Post the audio release each of heads of the film took turns to wield the mic. The first one to speak was Balu sir who was all praise for his student Bala and his entire team. The ace director also specifically recollected certain aspects of his music director Yuvan while the latter was still a boy.
Director Bala thanked Arya for convincing him to rope in Vishal for the project. This is Arya’s second successive film with the off beat director. Bala also thanked Yuvan who has done a brilliant job with the songs for ‘Avan Ivan.’ The director is confident that the songs of this film will take the popularity of Yuvan to the next level. The director ended his talk thanking his mentor who was present for the music launch, and because of whom he is what he is today.
The man of the day Yuvan, when he spoke, thanked Bala for the ample time that the director allowed him to create the songs. The composer particularly pointed the last part of the film’s re-recording and felt that portion would command appreciation from the audience.
‘Avan Ivan’ is touted to be off-beat from director Bala’s usual style and claims to tickle the audience’s funny bone. Many appreciations are flowing in for the performances of friends and Arya and Vishal. The film also has, Janani, G.M. Kumar, Ambika, and RK in supporting roles.
The album of ‘Avan Ivan’ has five music tracks. Lyricist Na. Muthukumar has penned the lyrics for all the songs. One particular track “Dia Dia Dole..” is a typical “kuthupattu” crooned by Suchi. There is a haunting melody in the film which is receiving good reviews. The song is “Oru Malayoram…” Vijay Yesudas has lent his voice to this song along with three little girls Baby Priyanka, Baby Nithyasri and Baby Srinisa.
The five tracks in the Album are:
Rasathi – Haricharan
Dia Dia Dole – Suchithra
Oru Malayoram - Vijay Yesudas, Baby Priyanka, Baby Srinisa, Baby Nithyashree
Mudhal Murai - Vijay Prakash
Avanapathi - T.L.Maharajan & Sathyan
